Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PardesDost (“PardesDost”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a platform that connects Pakistanis planning to study or work abroad with Pakistanis who have already made that journey. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use PardesDost.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use PardesDost, and old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live. By using the service, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything that happens under it. Do not share your login, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You may sign in with email or with Google; either way, the account is yours to look after.

4. What PardesDost is — and is not

PardesDost helps people find and speak with mentors who have real, personal experience of moving abroad. Mentors share their own experiences and opinions.

PardesDost is not a substitute for professional advice. Guidance shared on the platform is personal experience, not legal, immigration, visa, financial, medical, or academic advice. Mentors are individuals, not licensed advisors acting for PardesDost, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome — an admission, a visa, a job, or otherwise. Always verify important decisions with the relevant official authority or a qualified professional.

5. Acceptable use

To keep PardesDost safe and trustworthy, you agree not to:

• Harass, abuse, threaten, defraud, or impersonate anyone.
• Post content that is unlawful, hateful, misleading, or infringes someone else’s rights.
• Attempt to take contact or payments off-platform to avoid our fees or protections, or ask another user to do so.
• Misuse, disrupt, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or other users’ data.
• Use PardesDost for any purpose that breaks the law or these Terms.

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Payments, wallet, and fees

Some features are paid, including consultations and access to certain communities. Prices are shown before you commit. Where we offer a wallet, you can top it up and the balance is used to pay for services on the platform.

Charges are applied at the time you make a request or booking, as described at checkout. Payouts to mentors and any refunds are handled according to the process shown in the product at the time. Except where required by law or expressly stated, payments are non-refundable once a service has been delivered. We may change our prices and fees, and will show the current amounts before you pay.

7. Consultations and ratings

When you book a consultation, both sides agree to a time, and we may create a calendar event and video-call link for it. Please attend on time and treat one another with respect. After a consultation, you may be asked to rate your experience. Ratings must be honest and based on your own experience; we may remove ratings that are fake, abusive, or manipulated.

8. Communities

Some communities require paid or approved access. Within them you may create posts, comments, polls, and events. You are responsible for what you share, and community organisers and PardesDost may moderate, remove content, or remove members who break these Terms or a community’s stated rules.

9. Content you provide

You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant PardesDost a non-exclusive licence to host, store, and display that content as needed to run the service. You confirm you have the right to share what you post, and that it does not break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.

10. Third-party services

PardesDost relies on third-party services — for example Google for sign-in, Calendar, and Meet, and payment providers to process payments. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, but we choose them carefully and use them only to provide PardesDost to you.

11. Privacy

Your use of PardesDost is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use it. Please read it to understand how your information is handled.

12. Disclaimers

PardesDost is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the service being uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not responsible for the conduct, advice, or content of any user or mentor.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PardesDost and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on guidance received through the platform. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using PardesDost and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the service and its users. Some provisions — such as those on content licences, disclaimers, and liability — continue to apply after your account ends.

15. Changes to these terms

As PardesDost grows, we may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use PardesDost after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and any disputes will be subject to the courts there, unless the law that applies to you says otherwise.
